Extend the framework to quantum illumination under energy constraints

Extend the minimax quantum channel-discrimination framework to bosonic quantum illumination with energy constraints and establish the corresponding operational and asymptotic discrimination results.

Background

The paper observes that discrimination between a general channel and a replacer channel models a quantum-illumination scenario and that the minimax framework could incorporate an adversarial jammer. The results in the paper are formulated for finite-dimensional systems, whereas physically relevant quantum illumination involves bosonic modes and energy constraints. A full energy-constrained bosonic extension is explicitly left unresolved.
