Effect of mutual interpretation confirmation on review outcomes

Determine whether adding an explicit mutual confirmation step, in which senior and junior practitioners negotiate the junior artist’s recorded interpretation before review, improves review outcomes.

Background

MOONWALK stores the junior artist’s interpretation alongside the submitted work so that supervisors can inspect the reasoning behind the artifact before responding. This feature creates a possible mechanism for richer two-way collaboration.

The evaluated study did not isolate a separate confirmation stage in which the supervisor and junior artist explicitly negotiate that interpretation before the review. The authors therefore identify the effect of adding such a step as unresolved and propose isolating it in future work.
