Experimental studies have revealed features such as core–shell structures in more mature soot, but the detailed internal arrangement in incipient soot remains insufficiently resolved.

This gap motivates molecular-level simulations and analyses of radial distributions of rings, density, and C/H ratio to infer core–shell development and structural transitions during growth.
