Interactive clarification and revision for NL-to-PDDL generation

Develop an interactive NL-to-PDDL generation setting in which a generated PDDL specification is explained to the user, revised through follow-up dialogue, or incrementally corrected after clarification, particularly for descriptions that are informal, incomplete, or ambiguous.

Background

The presented pipeline assumes a single-turn interaction in which the user supplies the complete natural-language planning description at once. The authors identify a more interactive setting as unresolved, where the generated formal specification can be explained back to the user and improved through dialogue or clarification. Such an extension is motivated especially by natural-language descriptions that are informal, incomplete, or ambiguous, conditions not fully represented by the benchmark-centered evaluation in the study.

References

The present study is also restricted to a single-turn interaction setting, in which the user provides the complete problem description at once. This leaves open a more interactive scenario in which the generated PDDL specification is explained back to the user, revised through follow-up dialogue, or incrementally corrected after clarification. Such interaction would be especially valuable when descriptions are informal, incomplete, or ambiguous.
