Identify the inference-time root source used by TSR-Ego

Identify whether TSR-Ego receives a predicted root or a ground-truth root at inference time, thereby resolving the source of the root used as the projection origin in its reported root-relative evaluations.

Background

The paper evaluates root-relative results reported for TSR-Ego alongside its own device-relative and oracle-root experiments. The comparison is difficult to interpret because TSR-Ego uses the root in each camera as the projection origin, but the available description does not specify whether that root is predicted by the model or supplied as ground truth.

The authors’ oracle-root control explicitly provides the ground-truth root, whereas the corresponding input for TSR-Ego is unresolved. Determining TSR-Ego’s inference-time root source is therefore necessary for assessing the fairness and meaning of the cross-protocol numerical comparison.

References

Our oracle-root runs explicitly receive the ground-truth root, while TSR-Ego's root source remains unknown, and the evaluation schedules differ as described above.
