Assess the effect of nondestructive readout on detector comparison

Determine how nondestructive readout schemes, including Fowler sampling and up-the-ramp sampling, affect the signal-to-noise performance comparison between the IBEX linear-mode avalanche photodiode array and Euclid-type H2RG detectors.

Background

The paper compares IBEX with a Euclid-type H2RG using a single correlated-double-sampling measurement under identical low-flux conditions and finds that IBEX performs better above 8 V. This comparison does not address readout strategies that combine multiple nondestructive samples.

The authors explicitly leave the impact of Fowler and up-the-ramp sampling unresolved. Quantifying that impact would establish whether the reported single-CDS advantage persists, increases, or changes under practical observing readout schemes.
