Generality of entanglement acceleration at higher-order exceptional points

Determine whether acceleration of entanglement generation is generally achievable at exceptional points of arbitrary order, and characterize how the effect depends on the order of the exceptional point.

Background

The paper studies entanglement generation in two weakly coupled non-Hermitian three-cavity subsystems containing second- and third-order exceptional points. Its numerical results indicate that exceptional-point-induced spectral scaling can accelerate entanglement generation, with the enhancement factor in the studied configuration scaling as J{-4/5}, suggesting effective fifth-order exceptional-point behavior. However, the authors do not establish whether analogous acceleration is a general consequence of arbitrary higher-order exceptional points or whether it depends on the specific coupled three-cavity architecture and parameter regime.

This raises a series of interesting questions: is the acceleration generally true for any higher order EPs? What about the case for nonreciprocally coupled systems for which the mathematics is quite different, and even its Hermitian counterpart can not be defined easily? Are there some new especially with the presence of multiple EPs?
