Extend pianist-style generation to structured musical material and broader settings
Develop artist-conditioned jazz piano generation that combines pianist identity embeddings with musical structure such as lead sheets, chord progressions, or melodic constraints; determine whether mixing artist embeddings enables interpolation between pianist styles; strengthen artist conditioning through classifier-free guidance; evaluate generated style through human listening studies modeled on the DownBeat Blindfold Test; and establish whether the approach generalizes beyond 12 artists and beyond solo piano.

Several directions remain open. Combining artist conditioning with musical structure---lead sheets, chord progressions, or melodic constraints---would enable ``in-the-style-of'' generation over specified material. Mixing artist embeddings at inference could enable interpolation between styles, and classifier-free guidance could strengthen the conditioning signal. A human listening study---ideally modeled on DownBeat's Blindfold Test---would complement our classifier-based evaluations with perceptual judgments and remains the most important next step. Scaling beyond 12 artists---and beyond solo piano---would test the generality of the approach.
