Extend the flat-space limit to AdS graviton amplitudes

Extend the Okuda–Penedones flat-space limit from tree-level dilaton amplitudes to graviton amplitudes in \(AdS_5\times S^5\), with the aim of obtaining holographic duals of tree-level graviton scattering and the associated super-translation and super-rotation Ward identities in \(\mathcal{N}=4\) SYM theory.

Background

The paper develops the Okuda–Penedones limit for dilatonic string amplitudes and identifies the corresponding doubly scaled N=4\mathcal{N}=4 SYM correlators with Carrollian correlators. The authors suggest that an analogous construction for graviton amplitudes would provide access to additional asymptotic symmetries beyond those associated with the dilaton sector.

In particular, a successful extension would yield a holographic description of tree-level graviton amplitudes and could generate recursion relations in the gauge theory associated with super-translation and super-rotation Ward identities. The paper explicitly states that this extension has not yet been established.
