Effectiveness of Acmite beyond gender bias

Establish the effectiveness of Acmite on other socially sensitive attributes, including race, religion, age, and intersections among these attributes.

Background

The paper evaluates Acmite exclusively for mitigating gender bias in LLMs. Acmite represents stereotypes as structured concepts, minimizes their influence through a token-level approximation of mutual information, and selectively activates a LoRA adapter for stereotype-relevant inputs. The authors do not establish whether this framework generalizes to other socially sensitive attributes.

The unresolved scope includes race, religion, age, and intersections among these attributes. Addressing this problem would require extending both the stereotype concept repository and the evaluation protocols beyond gender-specific benchmarks and concepts.

First, our experiments focus exclusively on gender bias, and the effectiveness of Acmite on other socially sensitive attributes, such as race, religion, age, and their intersections, remains to be established.
