Reincarnation path for dead cryptocurrencies

Determine whether a cryptocurrency can return to an active lifecycle stage through transform step 4 after becoming dead and trading has ceased.

Background

The proposed six-stage cryptocurrency lifecycle model includes transitions among inception, growth, stagnation, decline, terminal failure, and ghost-coin status. The model does not support reincarnation after death because the authors assume that a dead asset loses trust once trading stops. However, the paper explicitly leaves unresolved whether a dead cryptocurrency can follow a path back through transform step 4; any such revival would instead be represented through transform step 1 in the current framework.

References

It is not very clear if there is a path back via the transform step 4, but once the coin is dead, and trading the assets have been stopped, nobody trusts this asset.
