Determine the kinetic behavior of the composite Majorana–IQH contact

Determine, from a kinetic-equation treatment of the composite Majorana–integer-quantum-Hall boundary and its floating Andreev/ohmic contact, whether the Majorana and charged quantum-Hall branches thermalize to a single contact temperature, and thereby fix the physical connectivity, plateau value, and length-dependent Lorenz-ratio crossover.

Background

The anomaly-pinning theorem requires an ideal floating contact that re-emits all outgoing branches at one temperature. At the proposed TI–SC–IQH contact, however, the incident segment contains a neutral Majorana branch and charged IQH branches, so single-temperature equilibration is not guaranteed by the boundary-CFT argument.

If the branches equilibrate, the stated plateau values follow from the series heat-balance model. If they do not, the thermal conductance depends on the return-path connectivity beyond the anomaly data. A microscopic kinetic treatment would also determine whether the Majorana and charge equilibration lengths differ and would yield the finite-junction-length Lorenz-ratio crossover.

Which alternative the physical Andreev/ohmic contact realizes is not settled by the boundary-CFT input of Sec.~\ref{sec:cft}; it requires a kinetic-equation treatment of the composite boundary, replacing the heat-balance heuristic of Appendix~\ref{app:heatbalance} and resolving the contact-thermalization question directly.
