Deconstruction of higher-dimensional theories by long circular quivers

Establish whether long circular quivers deconstruct higher-dimensional theories, particularly the six-dimensional (2,0) theory, beyond the consistency evidence provided by their index computations.

Background

The paper discusses long circular quivers as a class of quiver gauge theories whose number of gauge nodes becomes large. Such quivers have been proposed to reproduce, or deconstruct, higher-dimensional physics through an emergent extra dimension.

The authors identify the six-dimensional (2,0) theory as a notable example and cite previous work in which the Hall–Littlewood limit of the long-circular-quiver index was argued to agree with expectations from the (2,0) theory. The refined superconformal-index formula derived in the paper provides additional data relevant to testing this conjectural relationship, but does not establish the deconstruction itself.
