Complete EDHOC integration and evaluation

Integrate the transcript-bound hybrid combiner into a complete EDHOC extension and evaluate it against EDHOC’s existing cipher-suite negotiation.

Background

The paper provides only a worked mapping showing how the transcript-bound combiner could compose with EDHOC. It does not implement and evaluate a complete EDHOC extension incorporating the combiner into the protocol’s existing cipher-suite negotiation.

The authors explicitly identify complete EDHOC integration and evaluation as future work, leaving the behavior and performance of such a full protocol extension unresolved.

Future work includes deriving a tight QROM constant for the transcript-bound combiner, extending the model to multi-session settings with session-state reveal, applying the principle to three-or-more component combiners for post-quantum agility, replacing the analytic energy model with power-instrumented single-board measurements, and integrating the combiner into a complete EDHOC extension evaluated against the existing cipher-suite negotiation.
