Cause of Lost Class Records

Determine why class records were lost for the completed ResNet-20 inference blocks during the proton-irradiation campaign on the Ultra96-V2 platform running PYNQ Linux and the Tensil Tensor Compute Unit.

Background

The campaign launched 92 inference blocks, but retained class records for only 62 blocks. In the 58-MeV run, eight completed blocks lacked class records, and these coincided with corrected-OCM reports. The missing records limit output verification precisely in the conditions where output-corruption events were observed, potentially biasing the exposure allocation and cross-section estimates. The authors explicitly leave the cause of this record loss unresolved.

We do not know why these records were lost.
