Ablate ParliamentRAG Architectural Components

Determine the contribution of the individual architectural components of ParliamentRAG to its observed performance through internal ablation experiments.

Background

The evaluation compares the complete ParliamentRAG system with Google NotebookLM but does not isolate the effects of ParliamentRAG’s individual mechanisms. In particular, the study does not experimentally separate the contributions of authority-aware ranking, multi-view retrieval, group-coverage mechanisms, and quotation-grounding architecture. Consequently, the extent to which each component produces the reported gains remains unresolved and is identified for future work.

In addition, the study compares the complete system against a strong external baseline without internal ablation experiments, leaving the contribution of architectural components to future work.
