On the graded center of D(G)cD(G)^c

Abstract: Let D(G)D(G) denote the derived category of smooth GG-representations on kk-vector spaces, where GG is a locally pro-pp group and kk is a field of characteristic pp. In this paper we are primarily interested in the graded center of the subcategory of compact objects Z<sup>∗(D(G)<sup>c)Z<sup>*(D(G)<sup>c) and variants thereof. When GG is a pp-adic Lie group, without proper open centralizers, we completely determine this center modulo locally nilpotent elements and give various applications.
