Open String Axiverse

Abstract: Localized charged fields are a general feature of many realistic string compactifications. In four dimensions they can lead to a multitude of perturbatively-exact global symmetries. If spontaneously broken, they generate a new axiverse compatible with post-inflationary evolutions.
