Verifying a stabilizer state with few observables but many shots (2412.16690v1)

Published 21 Dec 2024 in quant-ph

Abstract: This research targets near-term noisy quantum computer systems with few qubits. We present a method for verifying $n$-qubit stabilizer states generated by quantum computers under noise, leveraging~$n$ observables (i.e., circuit modifications) with multiple measurement shots per observable. The approach aims at ensuring reliable fidelity assessment by distinguishing correct states ($1-\delta$) from incorrect ones ($1-\epsilon$, where $\delta < \epsilon$). This method balances practicality and accuracy, making it well-suited for near-term quantum computer systems.
