Strangeness Enhancement in Proton-Proton Collisions

Published 2 Jun 2024 in hep-ex | (2406.00693v1)

Abstract: The analysis for the strange and multi-strange hadrons production is presented for proton-proton (pp) collisions at S<em>NN=\sqrt{S_{<em>{NN}}} = 200 GeV as reported by the PYTHIA 8 event generator simulations. The strangeness enhancement is studied in details at s</em><em>NN=\sqrt{s</em>{<em>{NN}}} = 200 GeV in proton-proton (pp). We preform the transverse momentum distributions for high and low multiplicity events of the strange and multi-strange hadrons. Here we present the observation of strangeness enhancement in pp collisions for K</em>s+(usˉ)K</em>{s}{+}(u\bar{s}), Ks−(suˉ)K_{s}{-}(s\bar{u}), Λ0(uds)\Lambda{0}(uds), Ξ0(uss)\Xi{0}(uss), Ξ−(dss)\Xi{-}(dss), Ω−(sss)\Omega{-}(sss) production. At the RHIC energy, the strangeness content yield increases with the event multiplicity.
