Componentwise linear ideals and exchange properties

Abstract: We prove the componentwise linearity of ideals that satisfy a certain exchange property similar to polymatroidal ideals. We also discuss the componentwise linearity and exchange properties of ideals of $k$-covers of totally balanced weighted hypergraphs.
