Successive Interference Cancellation for Optical Fiber Using Discrete Constellations (2405.03232v1)

Published 6 May 2024 in cs.IT and math.IT

Abstract: Successive interference cancellation is used to detect discrete modulation symbols transmitted over a 1000 km fiber-optic link. A transmitter and receiver are presented that have linear complexity in the number of transmitted symbols and achieve the information rates of previous studies that use continuous modulations.
