On the initial state of the universe in quantum gravity and the time arrow
Abstract: We address the thermodynamic evolution of the universe under quantum gravity by considering the conditions for the existence of an arrow of time that drives it. We find that for such an arrow of time to exist, the initial state of the cosmos must correspond to a state of negative entropy. This open the possibility that our universe emerged from a Dirac sea of negative entropy.
