On staticity of bifurcate Killing horizons

Abstract: We show that bifurcate Killing horizons with closed torsion form, in spacetimes of arbitrary dimension satisfying a Ricci-structure condition, arise from static Killing vectors. The result applies in particular to $\Lambda$-vacuum spacetimes.
