A Tractable Model of Pair Density Wave

Abstract: The paper describes a simple mechanism for superconducting pairing with finite wave vector (Pair Density Wave) which is illustrated with a quasi one-dimensional model. Within this model pair and charge density wave order parameters are intertwined emerging as components of the same matrix field and are related by particle-hole symmetry. Experimental applications are discussed.
