Confiabilidad en la capa de transporte para la red de sensores antártica (2210.11084v1)
Abstract: The SHETLAND-NET research project aims to develop an Internet of Things (IoT) telemetry service in Antarctica by interconnecting Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) through Near Vertical Incidence Skywave radio links (NVIS) that build a Long Fat Network (LFN). This architecture presents some typical properties of the so-called challenging networks, which require an evaluation of the viability of the proposed solution and an analysis of which transport protocol can provide greater reliability for this use case. For this purpose, a layer-based heterogeneous trustworthiness model is defined and presented. Through extensive simulations, the model is validated, different transport protocols are compared, and the reliability of the system is evaluated.
