Projective measurement of black holes

Published 9 Mar 2022 in hep-th, cond-mat.stat-mech, gr-qc, and quant-ph | (2203.04968v1)

Abstract: We study the effect of projective measurements on the entanglement structure of quantum black holes. It is shown that the entanglement verification in monitored quantum circuits, recently discussed in condensed matter physics, is equivalent to the information recovery from a black hole with projective measurements. This correspondence provides useful predictions about non-perturbative effects on quantum gravity and some insights on the black hole interior as well as the final state proposal.
