Charge-dipole and dipole-dipole interactions in two-dimensional materials

Abstract: We derive the explicit analytical form for the charge-dipole and dipole-dipole interactions in 2D configuration space. We demonstrate that the reduction of dimensionality can alter the charge-dipole and dipole-dipole interactions in 2D case. The asymptotics of these interactions at large distances coincide to the charge-dipole and dipole-dipole interactions in 3D configuration space.
