Synchronization in Uniformly Accelerated Frames

Published 5 Jan 2019 in gr-qc | (1901.03971v1)

Abstract: We show that a system is uniformly accelerated if and only if all of the clocks in the system can be synchronized to each other, and the clocks will remain synchronized as long as the acceleration remains uniform. In particular, it is possible to synchronize clocks on a disk rotating with constant angular velocity. Conventional thinking holds that this is impossible because a time gap invariably arises.
