Genus Fields of Congruence Function Fields

Published 27 Dec 2015 in math.NT | (1512.08264v1)

Abstract: Let kk be a rational congruence function field and consider an arbitrary finite separable extension K/kK/k. If for each prime in kk ramified in KK we have that at least one ramification index is not divided by the characteristic of KK, we find the genus field $\g K$, except for constants, of the extension K/kK/k. In general, we describe the genus field of a global function field.
