Complete collisions approximation to the Kadanoff-Baym equation: a first--principles implementation

Abstract: We show carriers dynamics on bulk Silicon in the sub pico-second time scale. The results are obtained from a first-principles implementation of the the Kadanoff-Baym equations within the generalized Baym-Kadanoff ansatz and the complete collision approximation. The resulting scattering term is similar to the scattering described within the semi-classical Boltzmann equation.
