A coupled map lattice model for spontaneous pore formation in anodic oxidation

Abstract: We construct a coupled map lattice model for the spontaneous pore formation in anodic oxidation in two dimensions and perform numerical simulations, after we explain steady flat solutions, their linear stability and a single pore solution for a model of Parkhutik and Shershulsky.
