Determine whether the high-temperature mineral components incorporated into UCAMMs were transported to the outer protoplanetary disk within a large asteroidal parent body or as smaller individual particles.

Background

UCAMMs combine high-temperature crystalline minerals, glassy phases, GEMS-like inclusions, and organic matter believed to have formed in different regions of the early Solar System. The paper therefore invokes substantial radial transport from the inner to the outer protoplanetary disk.

The scale and physical mode of that transport remain unresolved: material may have been carried outward as part of a comparatively large asteroidal body or dispersed and transported as smaller particles before incorporation into the definitive cometary parent body.
