Systematically investigate gluings involving non-simply laced flavor symmetries

Investigate systematically the more general geometric gluings obtained by gauging non-simply laced flavor factors of five-dimensional SCFT fixtures and characterize the resulting five-dimensional SCFTs.

Background

The paper demonstrates a concrete gauging of a B2 flavor factor, producing a new singular threefold with additional singular loci. Unlike gauging a maximal puncture, this operation has no corresponding regular-puncture class-S description in the framework used in the paper.

The example suggests a broader family of gluings involving non-simply laced flavor symmetries, but the paper does not analyze that family systematically and explicitly leaves the investigation for future work.

We plan on systematically investigating these more general gluings in future work.
