Background

The SmCo analysis derives nominal recovery using an assumed initial samarium concentration and identifies a purity–nominal-yield frontier. Several recorded conditions exceed 100% nominal yield, and one cobalt value is repeated at an extremely small magnitude.

The interpretation of the SmCo results remains dependent on unresolved experimental and analytical provenance. Resolving these issues is necessary to determine whether the reported nominal yields and cobalt measurements support the stated process-choice comparisons.
