Resolve anisotropy of interspecies p-wave resonances

Resolve the anisotropy induced by magnetic dipolar interactions in interspecies p-wave Feshbach resonances by extending the atomic scattering-volume-only description to a multichannel framework with distinct p-wave subchannels.

Background

The calculation adopts the single-channel Idziaszek–Calarco pseudopotential, treating the three p-wave magnetic subchannels as degenerate and characterizing them by one scattering volume. Magnetic-dipolar interactions, which can split these subchannels, are neglected. A multichannel treatment would therefore be needed to describe the anisotropic structure of realistic p-wave Feshbach resonances and to assess its consequences for the projected interaction and droplet equation of state.

References

The splitting induced by magnetic dipolar interactions is neglected; resolving this anisotropy within a multichannel framework is left for future work.
