Phenomenological implications of the continuous landscape

Clarify the phenomenological implications of the continuous landscape by combining the radion-stability analysis with the variation of observable four-dimensional parameters across the landscape.

Background

The paper argues that stable extra-dimensional metrics form a continuous family and that effective four-dimensional parameters consequently vary across this geometrical landscape. Earlier work cited by the paper studied variations of observable four-dimensional parameters, but that analysis is not combined here with the newly derived stability conditions.

The unresolved task is to determine which parts of the parameter landscape are both radion-stable and phenomenologically viable, and to assess the observable consequences of the continuous family of stable geometries.

References

Finally, combining the present stability analysis with our earlier results on the variation of observable four-dimensional parameters across the landscape would clarify the phenomenological implications of the continuous landscape. We hope to address these questions in future work.
