Mathematical and renormalization properties of relaxed supersymmetry

Characterize which mathematical advantages of standard supersymmetry are retained by relaxed supersymmetry and determine the renormalization properties of relaxed-supersymmetry models.

Background

The paper proposes relaxed supersymmetry as a framework in which only gauge-invariant combinations of supercharge anticommutators generate spacetime translations, while the individual supercharges need not be conserved or define symmetries of the action. Although positivity of energy follows from the defining anticommutator relation, the paper does not establish whether other useful mathematical properties of ordinary supersymmetry persist or how the resulting theories behave under renormalization. These issues are explicitly identified as unresolved directions.
