Resolve lunar-gravity and free-capture momentum-transfer performance

Determine whether autonomous visual and manipulation policies validated under terrestrial gravity can manage lunar-gravity effects and free-capture momentum during space-robot operations.

Background

The review discusses a randomized octree-based reinforcement-learning policy tested in a lunar-analogue environment. Although the experiment evaluates visual and manipulation transfer, its simulation uses terrestrial gravity rather than lunar gravity and does not evaluate free-capture momentum management. The authors therefore leave these two physical effects unresolved, indicating that successful terrestrial or analogue grasping does not establish performance for lunar or free-floating capture.

Simulation used terrestrial gravity (9.807~m/s$2$): this tests visual and manipulation transfer, leaving lunar gravity and free-capture momentum management unresolved.
