Identify the most useful comparison features

Determine which of the 59 audio features used by the DipTych reference-listening system carry the comparison and which add little, including which features producers should see first.

Background

DipTych extracts 59 audio features organized into eight categories, including pitch and melody, harmony and tonality, rhythm and timing, dynamics and loudness, timbre, emotion and expression, vocal quality, and production and mix. The authors acknowledge that the features were selected from the literature rather than through formative work with producers, and that participants questioned the usefulness of some reported measurements. Because the study did not measure the relative contribution of individual features, the authors leave unresolved which features meaningfully support comparison and which may add little value; they identify feature validation, robust extraction, and producer-informed feature selection as priorities for future work.

We did not measure which features matter most, so we cannot yet say which ones carry the comparison and which add little.
