Construct full F-theory solutions with complete moduli stabilization

Construct explicit F-theory compactifications corresponding to the six-dimensional gauged supergravity considered here in which all moduli, including those of the hypermultiplet sector and the Calabi–Yau volume, are stabilized in concrete models yielding four-dimensional de Sitter vacua.

Background

The authors obtain 4D de Sitter solutions in a 6D supergravity derived from F-theory and emphasize the importance of embedding these in full higher-dimensional solutions where all moduli are stabilized.

Achieving complete moduli stabilization in explicit F-theory models would validate the 6D EFT approach and address typical concerns about runaway directions and the Dine–Seiberg problem.

References

Although the existence classical de Sitter solutions to the equations we solve is incontrovertible, several points remain open. These include the description of the full F-theory solutions with all moduli stabilized for concrete models, a better understanding of the singularities, a rigorous proof of the stability of the solutions and so on.
