Evaluation of the passive-safety constraint

Evaluate the passive-safety constraint from the ADRIOS/ClearSpace-1 Concept of Operations as a dedicated mission requirement within the economic model predictive control design and validation framework.

Background

Passive safety is identified in the mission overview as an important proximity-operation requirement, but it is not incorporated as a separately evaluated requirement in the reported controller studies. The numerical analysis instead focuses on reachability, terminal conditions, fuel consumption, line-of-sight geometry, and related constraints.

The authors explicitly identify the passive-safety requirement as unresolved for the next iteration, leaving open how it should be represented in the MPC formulation and how its inclusion would affect feasibility, fuel use, and formal guarantees.

The passive-safety constraint introduced in Section~\ref{subsec:conops} is not yet evaluated as a dedicated mission requirement, and remains an open item for the next iteration of this report.
