Establish MHz-Frequency Measurement Reproducibility

Establish the reproducibility of MHz-frequency core-loss measurements across independent laboratories and measurement principles, including the reporting and comparison of measurement uncertainties.

Background

The paper identifies reproducibility as one of the four interconnected barriers to accurate MHz core-loss measurement. Existing interlaboratory studies have primarily examined lower frequencies, and reproducibility cannot be assessed reliably when participating laboratories do not report measurement uncertainty. The authors therefore leave the reproducibility of MHz core-loss measurements unresolved and connect its determination to the eventual development of calibration transfer standards.
