Develop a minimalist instruction set that reliably produces high-quality physics-video transcripts and error-free compilation into PDF/UA-2- and ISO 32005-compliant accessible PDFs.

Background

The authors tested four neo-minimalist variants intended to reduce the extensive structural guidance in the v6m system instructions. Although the nm-2 variant showed promising transcription quality in some tests, later variants produced problems including excessive transition labels, inappropriate LaTeX constructions, missing section headings, and the use of forbidden square brackets. The authors therefore discontinued further iterations, while explicitly acknowledging that a reliable minimalist approach may still be achievable by future work or other researchers.

We believe that our neo-minimalist investigations suggest that it might be possible to develop a minimalist instruction set that reliably delivers high-quality transcription and error-free compilation into accessible PDFs, but that this is beyond our own prompt-engineering capabilities, at least at this time.
