Determine the frequency-dependent transfer function for velocity-power measurements used to estimate wave-energy fluxes in solar plage regions.

Background

The wave-flux calculation applies a frequency-dependent transfer function to the observed velocity power. The transfer function accounts for the diagnostic and atmospheric response between the underlying wave velocity and the measured signal. Because its behavior in plage is unknown, the analysis assumes a unity transfer function, making the resulting wave-flux estimates approximate and motivating the need to determine this response for plage observations.

The frequency-dependent transfer function, $\mathcal{T}({\nu})$, was assumed to be unity \citep[e.g.,][]{2010ApJ...723L.134B,Sobotka2016,Abbasvand2020b}, since we do not know its behavior in plage regions.
