Demonstrate Practical Capability Augmentation by a Hidden Circuit

Demonstrate whether a small hidden circuit can augment an already capable host model to support cyber abuse, CBRN-relevant assistance, fraud, or sabotage while remaining inactive during ordinary evaluation.

Background

The proof-of-concept construction hides a small binary reaction-feasibility classifier and incurs substantial computational overhead. The paper identifies a prospective threat in which a smaller hidden circuit augments an already capable host model, but explicitly states that this practical scenario has not yet been demonstrated. Establishing such a capability would clarify the real-world security significance of the construction.

A prospective concern is that a small hidden circuit could augment an already capable host, supporting cyber abuse, CBRN-relevant assistance, fraud, or sabotage while remaining inactive during ordinary evaluation. This scenario remains to be demonstrated.
