Confirm the putative companion to LSPM J0036+1821

Confirm whether the putative L5–6 companion to LSPM J0036+1821, reported at a projected separation of approximately 0.78 AU, exists.

Background

Previous optical and infrared studies reported the possible presence of an L5–6 companion to LSPM J0036+1821 at a projected separation of 89.5 ± 11.4 mas, corresponding to 0.78 ± 0.10 AU. The companion remains observationally unverified, and the paper’s radio observations also found no significant radio emission from it.

References

However, this putative companion has not been confirmed yet.
