Comprehensive understanding of how nonlinearity influences quantumness
Establish a comprehensive theoretical characterization of how potential nonlinearity influences quantumness in single-mode bosonic systems by developing a general framework that relates anharmonic potential features to nonclassical signatures such as non-Gaussianity and Wigner-function negativity, thereby clarifying the mechanisms linking nonlinear dynamics to measurable quantum behavior.

Nevertheless, a comprehensive understanding of how nonlinearity influences quantumness remains an open and largely unexplored question.
We observed that a similar tradeoff between coherence time and Wigner negativity exists for Fock states. This leads us to conjecture the persistence of such a relation in other families of states, such as for example, the nonlinearly squeezed vacuum states, that have attracted considerable experimental and theoretical attention.
An important direction for future work is therefore to extend the analysis to stronger anharmonicities and to systematically investigate the evolution of the motional nonclassicality beyond the weak-perturbation regime. Such an extension would allow one to determine whether the progressive modification of the Fock-state populations, number fluctuations, Wigner distribution, and quadrature squeezing observed here eventually leads to a qualitative change or suppression of nonclassical behavior.
