Breathing-gas integration for underwater soft exoskeletons

Determine how breathing gas can be provided to a scuba diver wearing the soft exoskeleton introduced by Wang et al. (2020), which occupies much of the diver’s lower limbs and upper torso.

Background

The literature review discusses a cable-and-pulley soft exoskeleton designed for rehabilitative swimming. Although the system is presented as an underwater wearable, its compatibility with scuba-diving life-support equipment is unresolved because the exoskeleton occupies substantial portions of the diver’s body. This issue motivates the paper’s contrast with RADMCS, which mounts directly to a scuba tank rather than integrating around the diver’s limbs and torso.
