Attoquants from displaced number states

Construct and prove that more general attoquants can be built from displaced number states, extending the coherent permanent-state construction while retaining robust pulse locking.

Background

The paper constructs an attoquant by symmetrizing products of coherent states over all permutations of a fixed set of mode amplitudes. It notes that the single-mode constituents in this permutation-symmetric construction need not be coherent states, suggesting displaced number states as a specific extension. The authors explicitly state that this broader construction is conjectural and is not established in the paper.

We conjecture, but do not prove here, that more general attoquants may be built from e.g. displaced number states.
